Tirzepatide mimics the natural hormones GLP-1 and GIP secreted by the intestine after meals, stimulating insulin production and decreasing appetite. It also slows stomach emptying and interacts with GLP-1 receptors in the brain to signal fullness. It is recommended to use with a reduced-calorie diet and increased exercise. Results may differ per individual.
